hi guys, while going through a process of elimination to eliminate my boot water leak , the next thing i need is a boot lock gasket. i've changed light seals, stopped leaking from there. Sealed up the pin holes for the badges, stopped leaking from there. but seems to drip from the point the tailgate catch meets. any idea where i can get one? part number if possible to please!!
Mint, thanks! Was at VW today, served by a newbie who at 1st brought out an exploded diagram of a mk1 cabby when i asked for the gasket. He then disapeared for a few mins and came back stating out of stock. I will call them tomorrow with the part number!

Phoned another dealer in glasgow area today and the gasket can be ordered! RESULT!!! And the guy knew exactly what he was talking about! i phoned the dealer i was in yesterday this morning to, gave them the part number and again was told unavailable! Moral of the story, if someone tells you what you dont wanna hear, ask someone else before giving up!
