    Hi there everyone...

I am doing a full rebuild on my mk2 golf 8v GTI will a r32 engine...

First question is fuelling.. As my car is a 1.8 8v gti 1992 I know the fuel pumps will not run the new engine... Should I put a mk3 16v/vr6 fuel tank in or up grade the pumps just..

Next question is water pipes.. As I got a new rad built with a pressure cap so have no expansion bottle.. Is it possible to run a silicon hose fit of a vr6 or something or will it be custom pipes...

Also I changed to a hydro clutch but my master cylinder has no in out pipe for the fluid.. Can this be bought or as there anyone braking a mk3

Hope I can get some help

you could go mk3 setup, or fit a kjet under car pump if you can find one in decent nick. another option is chop the cage out the bottom of the mk3 tank or fit a mk3 diesel one then drop a mk4 golf fuel pump in, though you'll have to mod/swap the level sender board as it wont work right with mk1/2/3 clocks

just cap off the old pipes to the header tank and problem solved

look in scrappy at all the mk3s you can find, very often they have the clutch take off on the tank but capped off. of course if you find a tdi, vr6 or abf they'll obv have it too. a new tank isn't too expensive from VW either worst case

these are getting harder to find in a fit state. keep an eye on the usual forums, ebay and facebook groups.
