1 - is the workshop manual wrong, should the top bush be assembled like this with the large cup washer on top and the small one on the bottom?

2 - good suggestions for tightening these up? I’m using the new 16 mm self locking nuts that are very tight all the way. Counter hold socket and an good quality + long Allen key?

Yeah I have those, and the Bilstein assembly instructions which show the large cup on the bottom and the small one on the top. But all the pictures/ videos online show it the other way round. Plus I doubt you can get a socket on the top of you do it the way shown in thag diagram

This is the top of mine. It has the flatter washer on top, as in the diagram.

edit..Now I notice it should perhaps be tightened a bit more, there's a gap between the washer and the rubber mount!

Ahh yeah I’m interested in the parts below that, the “Pressure washer” and “support washer” :)

Thank you chaps! I'll have a go like that. It makes more sense to me that way but it's just very hard to get a socket on. Which is why I suppose people swap them
