    Hi There!!

I have just bought my first Golf. It's a 1995 Mk3 GTI 16v in silver and I'm made up with it.

I was in the market for a more exciting car than my 2003 Passat, this came up through a friend of the family and I got a great deal. It's only ever had one owner, FSH, Leather heated trim, garaged and only 70,000 miles on the clock! It's in fairly good nick but needs some love as has a few small dings and parking scratches but good for the age.

I can see why people rave about these cars, I have heard that the Mk3 isn't as sharp as the Mk1 & 2 but it's not half bad and better than anything I've had in the past, plus it pulls like a train! Makes me grin everytime I climb in so I wasted no time becoming a member of ClubGTI!

I have some plans for the car, a deep clean including the engine bay, new vacuum hoses, a service, referb the wheels, new exhaust etc. So I'm sure I will be asking the ClubGTI community some questions!

Anyways, I'll keep my ear to the ground regarding meets and stuff and catch up with you guys later!

    Jon

I've always liked the mk3 in 16v format. 8v was a bit sluggish

Thanks for the replies!! Wasn't expecting that! Quite funny that there is another Prawn on here! You will need to change your name to lord or duke as not to be outdone!

I will add some pics when I figure out how to?!?!?! I have no idea how that works yet. There is an add pic button but it wants a url, I would expect it to have a browse button to get the pics from my PC but no such luck?

Will have a look at the members section as soon as. Nice to digitally meet you all! ;)

That manifold cleaned up well! What did you use on it? Meguiars degreaser didn't seem to touch mine.
