Evening all, Anyone got a recommendation for a good Golf specialist (for my 8v MkII) in Oxfordshire? I'd like to get the suspension sorted out with polybushes and don't have my own garage - worse luck. Cheers Mark
Hello buddy, Not a lot going on in Oxfordshire to be honest, a lot of overpriced garages that won't touch old cars like a mk2 golf. Ive heard good things about a place called "the pitstop" in Brize norton. Also Stealth racing is not far away in Southam and they have a great reputation with mk2's. Good luck D
Ta for that. Answers the question too. I'd definitely put a vote in for Pitstop, Ralph and his guys. They got my Mk II up and running like a dream and they're only about three minutes away. They're Mini nuts too - Ralph builds and races his own Minis. Just wondered if there are any dedicated VW garages but I'm really happy with Pitstop, so that's fine. Thanks for the tip on Stealth too. Not recommending Motorworld then
if you have a drive (or can borrow one) then polly bushes are a days work, 2 max including fitting new dampers. would highly recomend stealth in southam. they do my set-up work and have been excellent to date
Pitstop did the tracking on my mk2...Good guy's but stealth have more experience with vag etc... up to you!
