golf vr6 re-build

    hello i've been offered a 1994 l-reg vr6 lump for 320 but needs bottom end re-build as piston went through block or something he said, and needs re-building will this be expensive or well worth it?

    It'll need more than a bottom end rebuild, it'll need a new bottom end...... not worth it.

    what can you do with a engine that the pistons gone through the block???

    Surly only head (maybe it that didnt damage) and pumps?

    he just said a con-rod and a piston had damaged bottom end!

    Which makes the engine scrap, except for the head if it escaped damage......

    if it was a rare 1950s ferrari block then it could be repaired, but no point in bothering with it as there are loads of other vr engines about

    Defo not my engine for 320..lol

    Luckily my head is NOT damaged somehow!

    make a coffee table out of it and stick it on ebay :p

    I pulled it off with a bit over a day to go!
    E-mails I was getting about it were STUPID!! Amazing the amount of people that can't read 'The car is NOT forsale'..
    Possibly sw*pping it for a 2.8, if not, im breaking it, keeping the good parts and putting them on my newer engine and then selling the parts I dont need from both enignes.. Shud make a profit too...just hassle
