Ah, so this is why the GTA series was 4.99 on steam last week. This is something I will be keeping an eye on. Got LA Noire the other week as i thought there would be similarities. Couldnt be more wrong, that game is more like a bloody job!
Please be like GTA3 and not a stupid "San andreas" style all about "da hood" etc. I only played that once and sent it back.
Cant wait, be nice to have a game that I like and can use the controller with, steering wheel is pretty involving so can rarely be bothered.
I'll second that, did the exact same thing As for GTA4 I hated it, all I did was yearn for GTA3 As ever a graphics update and not game play a shame really. I hope GTA 5 returns to its more comic book style origins
Frankly no one out of R* knows when it'll be out, it'll probably be delayed anyway. I think if the trailer shows cut scene type stuff yeah, 2013, if it shows gameplay it'll be 2012. The days of tiny bits of info being leaked about big games 2 years in adavance and stuff are over. 6 months from trailer to hitting the shelves is the norm now.
GTA 3 was good Vice city was much better, more interesting, better music, much funnier San Andreas featured the folk who are most likely to car jack people "da gangstaaas" but was void of comedy GTA 4 = v good, best graphics, back to being interesting & with comedy elements (if not quite as amusing as Vice City) Only downside in GTA 4 = seems to be a cop every 10 metres
San Adreas was the best for me, huge area to cock about in, jets, bikes, base jumping. The detail was insane, really made for hours and hours of entertainment after the missions were done. Only the silly need to keep feeding him and the gym stuff bothered me, oh and the odd "bugger I've flipped and destroyed my Car in the middle of the desert and need to walk to Vegas" moment.

gta4 gameplay was just as good as gta3's! Everyone will always like GTA3 'cos it kinda came out of nowhere and basically gang-raped the video game business! I would love to see a gta4 graphics (or better) vice city, 80's synth pop and Hawaiian shirts = mega win
Vice City will always be my favourite, then san andreas. We only played the russian one for about 2 hours before we got bored, too dark, raining and boring. I still remember playing GTA1 on the pc over a LAN multiplayer - top-down gameplay
