Green Dash bulbs for MK2 Golf???

    Any idea where i can get these?? Need some for my VDO's................

    The bulbs that light up the speedo/rev counter aren't actually green, they just sit behind a green filter. If you still want them GSF sell them for a fortune at 2.50 each or something, otherwise go and raid a scrappy.

    ive tried that and they are all clear. Because the VDO's dont have the green filters in them i need to get some green bulbs. Just wondering if you can actually buy them or whether you can get some green paint of similar and paint them??? [:s]

    Nail Varnish them!

    Same you would a Fog light bulb!

    Or a VERY lite dusting of Green paint out of a can!

    i did think about having a go with my oak green touch up pencil but i thought that it would be too dark and therefore would not be very bright when the dash lights were on............

    Yeah proper stuff to withstand the heat, normal paint might blister/burn/discolour.

    thats the thing with nail varish or using my touch up pen....... i think after a few weeks the paint will flake off. whats the stuff they use on disco lights etc?? is that a paint or are they like plastic sheets that go infront of the light??

    yeah put in vans bulb paint in ya goolge search, there is another place that sells them aswell

    A decent craft shop should do some bulb paint.

    does anyone know if there are acually any filters available which are redy to fit into a mk2 dash???
