As I'm about done with doing my mk1 I was always up to selling my mk2 as the wife don't really want me
Keeping two.now it come to close to letting it go (don't think I can)if you had to let one of these go
Which ones the better long term keep.

    Mk2 has 5k receipts 4 owners and every m.o.t since 1992(it's first)and solid mint interior.good
    Body also.

Mk1 has owners into double figures.no history.but has a cool(retro) factor, and has had full paint job,new roof
    Mint interior+more

I'm struggling with this tbh and one may have to go.

It depends on what the reason is for keeping them.

they are both classic versions of these cars. i would keep the mk2 just because i dont like the soft top on the mk1 because it does suit the way i drive.

do you drive them regularly at the moment?

They both only weekend toys for the summer.my daily is Passat 130tdi.

I drive the mk1 as its a novelty at the moment having only had it road legal this month.
The mk2 I always like to drive.(although sorn currently).
But if one had to become a daily it would be the mk2.
I think the problem is the mk1 cabby for some reason isn't doin it for me,don't know why but I'm just not
Getting that stoked about it.which is a shame if I can't take to it having spent a year doing it up[:s]

    I like my mk2 but not sure the mk1 is as good.worse handling,worse power,worse braking,if I can get the mk1 to perform
As well then good but they do feel worlds apart to me.i think I've under-estimated how good mk2,s really are.

I would also keep the Mk2 but the Mk1 is something special and quite a head turner.
