heater slide switch snapped

Find a breakers and get another. Pig of a job, but easy enough with a bit of thought

Eh? Surely it just involves a pair of long nosed pliers in the old plastic bit to pull it out, and then just push a new one in?

At worst you might need to remove the heater slider trim (which tends to fall out anyway)

 

Soz, thought you mean't the slider mech's broken

True, if it's only the slider itself it's a breeze to do
