    Hi all.
Recently purchased a mk3.5 golf cabriolet. 2.0 8v. Drives great and solid underneath. Hopefully will have many years of top down driving, when its not raining in west wales!
After some advice. Does anyone know if you can pop a mk3 soft top and mechanism onto a mk3.5? When i purchased the car, the soft top had been damaged. Local repair specialist in Swansea said the bonded window on the 3.5 is a nightmare, as a result nearly double the price to replace. Can get a decent mk3 roof and all the bits etc, but wondering if its a straight swap?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hello and welcome :)

I'm like 90% sure you can yes, but wait for a cabby expert to confirm it

Thanks for the update. I have read a few other threads and lists of swappable parts between mk3, 3.5 and 4 and the roof is listed as one so fingers crossed

so far as I know the base shell is the same, its just the obvious facelift parts that differ so bumpers, lights, fancy dash etc
