This is me, looking like something out of the 80s:

And I'm shortly to be driving something out of the 80s:

Only paid 400 quid for it and looking like I'll make most of that back
selling the bolt on tat the previous owner left for me. Can't insure it
until March (need 4 years NCB or it's batty money) but that gives me
time to fix a few things and make it presentable again.

I live in Uxbridge, student at Brunel (any other Brunel motor club
people here? I seem to bump into you lot everywhere else I go) and have
had a hand in on Team Guru's mad mid engined Derby thing.

If anything those shots make it look grubby, it is extremely clean
indeed. Got to sort a few electrical and fueling gremlins otherwise
it's excellent. New wings sourced for 30 quid (mint pair in the right
colour) and all the rubbish aftermarket stuff you see in the photos is
gone, car costing next to nothing after selling that lot. Wheels are still up for grabs.

Certainly plan to - as soon as Golf is mobile it'll be a no-rice regular and whatever else I can find within a sensible drive.
