Help finding 8v pulley

    Have this pulley on my 8v & would like to replace it with a new one but VW say it is no longer made or in stock, it is the one with the bonded? rubber going through the middle of it:

    Part Numbers on it are:

    Germany CFW 026 105 243 B 209 84

    They're fairly standard I think - probably the same on all 1.8 8v. Why do you need a new one - it looks OK to me.

    yeah standard but no longer in stock.
    it looks ok though there is a strange criss/cross pattern on the rubber? was just thinking about how many miles the thing has done now & how old it is that's all & that i replaced the other pulley along side in (on my nice clean engine lol).

    I see what you mean... other than one from a newer car in a scrappy, you could have it beadblasted I suppose, to clean it up a bit.

    you could bin all the old pulley/anxilery setup and upgrade to mk3 8v stuff instead, bit newer! plus the alternator/pas tensioning systems are much better.
