Help removing down-pipe

    ive got a 1.9D mk3
    im having trouble removing the downpipe from the actual exhaust system,[:^(][:^(]
    ive put on grease, wd-40 and tried hammering it the opposite, so it would just detach it self,
    any more suggestion?

    Fire, or last resort - get the grinder out!

    hmm i like the sound of fire but not the sound of grinders, i nearly cut my leg off with one of them =|
    i turned it on and it span out of my hand and missed my manly parts and my leg =| [xx(][xx(]

    ill let you know how i get on,
    but the exhaust system is still on the car

    do they not have clips that need removing?

    apply plenty heat on it and us impact socks that should do it.:thumbup:

    heat

    start engine and let it run for a while then try undoing the nuts
