    hi guys,

Ive just put my mk2 through mot and one of the many failures was a high HC count, max is listed at 1200ppm and mine was reading at around 6200ppm.
The car starts runs fine and pulls like a train from idle right up to the limiter so i'm hesitant to adjusting things just yet, so my question is what do I need to look for and check to see if there is anything broken?

Service it oil filter plugs check timing check crankcase breathers etc etc high hc is usually unburnt fuel !! When you've done all that check co content and take for a blast!! Also try some injector cleaner engine could be coked up!!
