Firstly let me thank everyone at Club GTI for the information and support given to me during this project, my first engine swap and despite taking so long it has gone well. Thankyou x x x

Today I tidied a load of wiring after recieving my ECU back from Toyotec and (after accidentally drinking some ****) I turned the key. It started and ran [:D]

This is the high pitched whine, it sounds like a ballon with its neck being stretched:

    Any ideas?

Sounds like air blowing out of a loose hose[:s]

Check the pipes from back of manifold to the solenoids mounted under the front of the manifold.
Sai (did you seal back up after removing) and plunger

Ha ha!!! I though a pulley was going to come off and hit the garage door lol lol

Well I took the hose off the servo and its now quiet, well as quiet as you would expect [:D]

Could the one way valve be dodgy or have I put it on backwards?

Blow through it. Should be open if blown towards the engine.

Is that not a little short Aminder? I thought it had to be a set length to hold enough vacuum, Hence it's quite long standard.

Mines even shorter, I wonder if its cracked?

I can suck air from the servo but not blow it to the servo. I'll pull the hose off at the servo end and see if it still does it.

Length is of no concern. It's a one way valve just make sure it's the right way round.

If it's not any of the pipes it could sucking in air at the master cylinder to servo joint

Mine made a similar noise when the vac hose to the charcoal canister split
