how much does a vr6 engine weigh

anyone know the weight of a vr6 engine. need to book a courier and they want the weight

140 kg lifted from google search - sounds about right

evidence

 

about as much as a large house full of osmium

 

Light enough to put in a 1.11.29 at Blyton (on road tyres) when a certain 16v Seat did a 1.12.10 in 2002 ...... or a 1.10.61 to the Seat's 1.11.51 in 2003

 

Have a search on here and someone listed the weights of the 4 and 6cly engines + gearbox's

If you do an extensive search through VW forums and take into account everyone's opinions, the concluded weight = 7 tons.

I think it was the only Corrado VR to attend so that sorts that one out

Think it was only the second time Id been so it wasnt like I was familiar with the place

I think the match between a std Corrado VR6 (on proper road tyres) and your pickle with seven years of development would be like comparing chalk with cheese, but Id still have a go
