Having never bought a computer I though I'd ask the ClubGTi boffins. Is the above laptop anygood, on special offer at Currys for 499.99, don't want to pay much more. Use is mainly for audio/video and photo storage/processing if I ever get a DSLR. Any thoughts good or bad will be appreciated.
http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=5177022 i got a dv6 model, xmas 2010, with an i5 processor (2.8) and it cost 460 from john lewis (they give you a longer warranty!) my only gripe is the touch pad. it can be a bit unresponsive, so if you get a chance, have a play with it first because the touch pad can be annoying other than that, its been tip top
