Because apparently i dont 'sell myself' in my scruffs, so 7 years of casual dress in the office has come to an end.
(until i need to iron a shirt)

    Have a laugh here

    Shirt & Ties suck!

I only have to wear my tie if I'm in a meeting or out on customer visits etc...

    haha, nice shirt ian.

I have to wear a shirt & tie at work as well. it p1sses me off to no end! they must be (pretty much) the most uncomfortable clothes there is. & to rub salt in the wound, all the girls can wear whatever they want as long as its relatively respectable [:x]

they should have to wear hot-pants.

Luckily I can wear what I want most of the time! Only time I put on a shirt and tie is when we have a meeting or we have to visit a client! which doesnt happen very often.... business is mostly done over the phone hear!

    I wear what I like.

If you have to sell yourself, either whoever said that is talking out of their arse, you deal with customers face to face, or you are wearing shirt and tie to make up for something, IMO.

Of course if the rules say wear a tie then wear a tie you must!

I take money off Plumbers, they are all fat, scruffy and stink, i bet they couldnt give a pooe what i was wearing. The g/f loves it though and i'm getting used to it myself now.

btw you think youve got a problem with that - I used to wear a shirt and tie to the office in my old job, but when visiting customers even the suit was compulsory! In fact I went into Lloyds trading floor once and went to remove my jacket so it didnt get dirty as I was climbing around on the floor, and felt a hand on my shoulder, followed by some pompus git telling me to put it back on because they have a dress code and the suit jacket is not optional :o
