Excuse the Steelie, garage dont get my replacement tyre in until today.

Was driving down the dual carriageway when a woman in a crap old Corsa pulled out to overtake stationary traffic. She didnt see me (did she even look??) and pulled straight into my rear quarter.

Cringing as she came towards us, i hit the brakes. Too late, crunch. Sounded worse than it looks on the photo, and in actual reality, its worse than it looks on the photo due to the nature of the repair. Also, metal around rear arch is bent and paint cracked.

If the garage bodge with filler, its going back. Bumper is also scuffed!!

She was probably using the mirror to apply makeup
Hope you get it sorted with minimal insurance hassle.

She was quite apologetic. So hopefully she will admit fault.

Yeah, if she had started to pull out 1 second earlier, we would have hit her front quarter or even worse her door quite hard. Would have been far far worse.

Her insuarnce company have now been in touch, and she has admitted full liability, as expected. They are also arranging a hire car directly for me.

Car is being collected tomorrow. Hire car is sorted courtesy of 3rd parties insurance. Happy days.

Insured with Direct Line on the daily. Hassle free or what??!!

Oh, and the pic from my iPhone really doesnt pick up on the damage! :(

funnily enough (although not really funny, I wasn't laughing)

a woman did this to my vectra, she was stationary at the side of the road and pulled away as I was passing her without looking or indicating

Women do that to me all the time. I usually manage to miss them, once one hit my Mk2, I got out and her little banger was a bit of a mess. I cracked a flare so I told her they were worth about 30 quid, got it out of her and was on my way. That poor Peugeot didn't stand a chance.

Was hoping for a decent'ish courtesy car. Was told it would be a Corsa. Honda Jizz is what i got on Saturday morning. What a pile. Why are these things so highly rated? One of the worst new cars ive ever driven.

Our car is being returned today. Time to get out the inspection glasses. If it isnt anything short of perfect, its not being accepted.

Car is now back, here is an after picture. UK Assistance have done a really nice job. Their work also comes with a 5 year guarantee.

Well, i was wrong. Didnt have too much time to check when the car was delivered to work.

On the surface it looks good, and the general area where the damage was repaired is good, but the finish in other areas is not great. As soon as the office is open tomorrow im getting on the blower and emailing a shed load of pics over.

Overspray on lower bumper trim and deep scratches into the paint on the rear bumper.

Deep scratch around NSR window that was replaced.

Another deep scratch into the paint on the NSR window.

Looks like this trim was prized off B pillar with a screwdriver. Paint down to the primer.

On door jam of same B pillar, there is a deep paint run, thats scraped off.

Assuming they removed the door, as the trim clips under the glovebox are broken.

Causing trim to move like this
    [IMG]

And glovebox to not open like this
    [IMG]

Overspray on NS door upper seal. Not sure if its paint or laquer marks.

Same rubber seal from different angle
    [IMG]

OSR panel has a nasty mark on it. Looks like hardened laquer from a tool or something thats been draped over the car.

So not impressed. Its going back again. Hope its not another 2.5 weeks in the bodyshop. The car was mint before, not a mark on it, so i want it back the way it was.

It does indeed take the proverbial. Their service was excellent, so i had big hopes. On my initial inspection i thought i had landed my car into the perfect bodyshop. Only when i went back to the car after work i started to spot the faults.
