iMac G3

Hi,

Can any one tell me please if I can put a DVD drive in an iMac G3, M5521? or can i only have a external one?

Probably a bit specialised for on here. I assume you've still got one of these because you like the look, but in reality it's a 10+ year old machine.

Your best bet on a DVD drive would be to go external I'd think. Try trawling the forums on macrumors.com or similar sites if you want to find someone who's tried it or done it.

 

only just got as a DJ room computer, so all I need it to do is play music through my mixer, which it dose really well, wanted to sample some bits off dvds

is that the old one all built into the crt?

 

have a look herelooks like a none starter they say no upgrades are availible,but from what it says they did come with a dvd in some models, maybe try ebay etc for a dead one with a dvd in it?
