my jetta was stolen on the 13th of december and reported to the police the same day and the insurance company on the 16th december.

having never clamed off insurance before how long does it usually take to get things sorted as its been over a month now and still its not sorted!

have had an investigator out a couple of weeks ago to ask more questions about the car being stolen and she took most of my documentation for the car and they also want the keys and the beeper for the alarm? [:s]

    is this all normal?

It can take months & months. If there's any dispute (i.e. insurance companies arguing over who's responsible) it could be over a year!

Did the insurance company know it looked like it does in your sig? If so, they might pay out about 2p if your lucky!

PMSL!!! Forgot your car was totalled. You're lucky IMO as you now don't have to pay for the disposal of your car...

Oh, btw, have you got any pics of the gti yet?

Lol - isn't it strange how people crash, write off their car completely, while driving without insurance, and then it gets stolen 2 days later?

    Here.....

You sure the local council didn't 'steal' it for you, not thought of looking down the local scrappie for it?

Ahh yeah. Didnt notice that, automatically assumed it was for the crash.

So go on then, who stole it and had it crushed for you then? Rather convenient wasnt it! ;)

i dont know why anyone would steel my car [:^(]

i am insured with churchill and there cr@p when it comes to modded cars too cos they said i couldnt lower the car

they know about the crash but as the cars no longer there they cant see how damaged it is and i would be daft to say its a write off!!!!!!!

[:D] it was only gonna cost 300 to fix it (when i say fix i mean a guy was gonna boch it for me with new doors, new wings and a new inner wing plus jigging the car) i know it would still be fuxed but i did love that car [:^(]

the local council aint touched it and there is not many scrap yards near where i crashed the car and i think i tried them all as i cant find any other ones yet.

You're lying....... you "got rid" of the car, and now you're trying to claim on the insurance...
Cheers, for bumping up all our insurance a little bit more...... wanker.
