It's that time of year again and I've got to renew my insurance

Have just been quoted by Admiral

    307 for a Mk3 VR6
    • Fully Comprehensive Cover
    • 150 voluntary excess
    • Guaranteed No Claims Bonus
    • Mods - Alloy Wheels & Air Filter !
    • Less than 10,000 miles ... etc
I have 8 years no claims and I am getting old ;) 35 now !

Now that is a good quote .... Elephant was near but Admiral gets better every year !

If I add lowered suspension and uprated brakes it puts the quote up to 343 .... which I guess will be happening this year ! [:$] Ooops ;)

I'm on classic at the mo.
Restricted on mileage and you dont gain any ncb. are the drawbacks...

    Im with Highway Ins.

I just keep to the specified mileage - bit of a pain really...
Mine comes out at just ovef 300 quid, I get a decent green flag breakdown with that also.
I might opt for a standard policy next time so i dont have the mileage limits, and i'll gain ncb...

Im 29 mate, they limit you to 8 thousand...

1300 tpft is ridicilous - give them a ring see what thay can do for ya, the numbers a few links back.

I dont have any ncb as ive had a company car for years.

i have 1 ncb (lost em couple of years ago:( )
Ill give em a bell in a few weeks once reminder comes through, it would be like a good payrise for us.
If it comes out around hat price i may be a bit snobby and pay it all off in one go

I just worked out i actualy do on average about 8000 miles a year so if i unplug speedo for the rare big journeys to angelsey and car shows it would be ideal.

A-Plan are great. They quoted me for my track car on a normal policy with class 1 business...0 no claims as have them on my everyday Mk3...a list of mods longer than a pron stars moneymaker and they quoted 350 fully comp.

Am going to get the MK3 with them in June when the renewal is due :)

HIC did my Jetta 16v as a classic car, agreed value with all mods declared for 220TPFT. 0NCB as it's the first time i've run it as a second car, i'm 26 with no convictions. They didn't even require an alarm! Still got one though.

Elephant and Admiral are owned by the same company but Admiral are always cheaper from the quotes ive had.

I used to be with admiral until I turned 21, then i changed to Tesco Value! They are even cheaper than Admiral for me.

I have just renewed with adrien flux (owned by the same guy that owns HIC) MK2 16v 180BHP all mods declared 625 fully comp with 5yrs PNCB - im 24 so it will be cheaper still next year. [:D].

Also enquired about a roll cage and there will be no extra charges - lots of companies will not cover you with a cage.
