I can understand what he's saying. Who phones the police when a car alarm goes off. Everyone just looks at it!!!

I've not got one and my car hasn't been stolen so no, without is definitely better.

    Rich,

I'm surprised your insurance company covered you without a Cat 1 alarm & immobiliser.

when i got my car it had a cat 2 immobiliser fitted, this didnt stop the little poo screw drivering my door and pinching my radio and cd's [:x] from right outside my girlsfriends house, then i fitted a cat 1 alarm/immobilser aswell and fitted door plates, fell alot better about leaving it overnight in places i dont know, but it wont stop people smashing wondows to get it, so would say if u have the money then yes i'd get 1 if not then dont go to sleep at night and sit at the window watching your car just in case
    lol

it depends on if your alarm goes off all the time for no reason as if it did everyone would ignore it where as if it only goes off when something actually causes it to people will pay more attention

also if someone does try to get in then it will scare them into running or just taking something quick not giving them time to hunt around the car to see what else there is

    i'm glad i'v got a toad Ai606 anyway
