good to see another engineering student out there ! thats a good bit of machining there mate its amazin what you can do with the right machine tools aint it
More pic please. How could your engine bay be so clean (don't mean dirty / clean clean)? Would love to see how you set your vacumn...
I've got a pedal box mounted inside the car so don't have a servo and hence no need for a vac take off. I'm not using a map sensor, you dont need a map sensor on a n/a car if you are running TPS.
Spent a very productive afternoon with Mike (who also built the engine) mapping the 16v. Figures speek for themselves http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y261/dubnutta/scan0001.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y261/dubnutta/scan0002.jpg neadless to say
Well done Ray, you must be well happy with that. Give me a ring when you take it out i will try and pop along.
None!! an hour or so stationary to bed cams in and check things over on mineral oil then trailered to rollers, 30 mins at 3k and then started mapping.
Excellent results Just ordering megasquirt and a new inlet manifold for mine, sacking off the air flow meter and other nasty bits.
..mmm, I was considering doing 1,000 miles before giving it `death` ! Mine is a 9A on Newman 290`s with solid lifters and KJet - currently set @ standard 6` timing for run in on Millers `running in` oil. Thanks
