I know, but it is (in my estimation) more fun. Having driven both, I'd have the Mini based on directness, and for the sheer sound of it. It's not standard. It's like a little pocket rocket (: Shame it's cost my dad about 14k in bills to keep it in good shape
the joys of minis! I've got a '89 mini myself (along with all my other toys )tried to jack it up a couple of weeks ago and the jack went through the jacking point! On average they might not be as fast as vws but a lot more fun to drive at leagle speeds
Wow, unlucky on that one Ours is currently in the workshop having some hi-lo's, a new set of donuts, and a new subframe fitted, so should be better once it's out! What sort of setup is yours on?
it's totally stock at the min, needs new set of sills and an A panel then sort out other bits. Got to finish the engine transplant in my westfield, fit the t/b's on the the golf and then on to the mini (and yes i do need to find some kind of modifieing addicts help group ) probably start the mini in the new year, thinking of dumping the rear subframe in favor of a rear beam conversion and then replacing the 998 with a supercharged 1293cc funds allowing
They do not suck balls, and I don't have a problem with space and I'm 5'11", but I agree with golf gti ftw. I'll explain spec of the mini when I can be bothered to. Hope all goes well with yours, will be nice to see pics.
