improvise is a good one too. infact, i've never heard a bad j5 tune. presently listening to the power in numbers album. if you like j5 try ugly duckling. their album called journey to anywhere is a belter !
original beats real live mc's.. the track that got me into J5 tbh.. Jayou.. Super Bowl Sundae.. without a doubt.. in the house.. J5
Jayou is a superbly classic track, I still have the Jurrasic 5 EP USA import (features most of the album tracks) if anyones interested in having it on vinyl? Lot's more classic rap/hip-hop too, from the original 1989 Public Enemy "It takes a Nation Of Millions to Hold Me Back" to KRS ONE/Tim Dog "I Get Wrecked"....loads of old skool hardcore breakbeat eg, 2badmice - bombscare, etc. Loads of drum and bass from jump up to classic jungle. Loads of breakbeat from Stakker to BT. Lot's of 70's funk, kool and the gang, jimmy caster bunch inc' just begun (worth 's as any collector would know)....
If you like Jurrasic 5, look out for anything by the cut chemist, the dj behind the beats and scratching on the album - done some great collaborations!
ive got j5 ep off amazon last year for my birthday, jurassic 5 are touring in october, although cut cemist is touring around the same time, i think he has left them? went to see them at leeds festival a couple of years back and nu-mark did a solo set for about 30 mins.
i think they play brixton in december looking to get tickets, but being broke at the mo means thats on hold
Absolutly love J5,seen them twice in concert. Got a pic of me beside Chali at an afterparty. That dude is MASSIVE!
swing set? i'll have a look for the album tomorrow, went to a cracking diner in Dublin that had this on in the background and it has got me back into them, need to find both the albums we have in the house to listen too.
