Just thought i'd share this with you! I was chillin at around 70mph on a singe carriage rd (national speed limit), over took a BMW, and just kept goin at a decent speed...then a R32 came outta the blue...stayed behind me for a couple of seconds, whilst i had my foot to the floor! Then he effortlisly sailed past me!!! That is the one thing i hate about the fact that my car looks like a 16v/VR, but is only a diesel!
There was a noble M12 at the Station today, it was stunning silver, the interior was platinum and red leather and the engine was purring beautifully. All i could think about was fecking pilots luckily non of my cars were any where near it.
You should have dropped a cog and floored it when he was behind you.....would have blinded him with your smog 007 style and given you the advantage you needed.
I'm currently doing something about my own 'sucks ass' engine thankyou. So not got any more cash to lend to students. By tomorrow I'll be able to pass an R32 (just). Shall be a good feeling. Good luck with the diesel!
I thrashed an R32 yesterday with my Clio V6, then my Integrale. Of course this was on PGR2 on the xbox...
funnily enough, all those 3 cars (R32, Clio V6, HF Integrale) do a standing quarter between 0.1 second of each other. V6 = 14.6, R32 = 14.7, HF = 14.7. But then the R32 uses its 4wd to get that, same as the HF, whilst the V6 uses mid engine rear wheel drive which also is good for traction, but would probably be a bit quicker in gear. I'm bored!
S1MMA - good observation, I found that there were all pretty similar on the straights but the 4wd cars a bit better in corners. The R32 understeers far too much for my tastes, the Integrale is spot on! (also bored... )
