...in my girlfriend's 53 plate Corsa... It was dark and the car was black so I didn't see it. I just popped it into reverse and... The only happened to live two fecking doors away and saw it from the window. I haven't had a text or call from my girlfriend yet, so, thank heavens, she didn't see it!!! Anyway... my girlfriend's car is pretty much OK. There is a slight black scuff mark but I can't work out if it's a deep scratch or paint from the Polo in the dark. Will check in the morning... The owner said he'd get a quote and didn't want to go through the insurance, thankfully. Seeing as it's my girlfriend who would take the hit... The Polo isn't that bad. It's got a few scuffs to the bumper and rub strip but no dents etc. Again, will have to check it in the morning to assess the real damage... So... how much does it cost to respray a bumper nowdays?
Just crashed my ex-gf's car you mean Depends where he takes it really Hopefully not much though. 1-200?
I told my girlfriend... she wasn't too happy. No doubt she'll have more to say when I get home. Can anybody recommend a decent body shop in Cardiff that will do a good job for a good price?
to spray a rear bumper sud only be about 80pounds as not much work my boss scratched his bumper and chipped it and only cost 80 for a full respray of the bumper and it was on a bmw 630i gold one
I hope thats not suggesting you were just gonna drive off if they hadn't? Depends where the quote is from, i reckon 150 - 500
If im not wrong, your boss own a garage? So his 80 job will probably be more like 120+ for anyone else as he must have contacts at bodyshop etc.... To get the price down I always do the prep myself, get some high build primer (high 5) do a couple of coats with rub down in between and then just get the body shop to paint it
I'm tempted to get another bumper myself, prep it and get it sprayed myself then swap it over for them. Good idea or?
Got a note and an invoice through my door today... 76 from the VW dealer in Swansea. THANK GOD FOR THAT. []
