Need to measure the fuel pressure on my 1.8 kr, what pressure should I be seeing at the metering head? Pretty sure I've got no leaks so it looks like either the pump or the metering head are playing up [:^(]

to test the system it's best to start with a cold car
you fit the valve /pressure gauge start the from cold with valve open the pressure shoud
go from (1.35 to 1.65 bar at 0min to 3.45 to 3.75 bar after 2.5 min)
then check the system pressure close valve it shoud read (4.5 to 5.2 bar)

next open the valve then switch off the engine off and leave for 10 minutes it shoud not
be less than 1.8 bar if is between 1.8 and 2.0 bar wait a further 10 minutes it shoud not
be less than 1.6 bar if it fails this last test it is ever the non retun valve or a leak

the Bentley book may have different fig's as the us cars use different pressures unless it gives both us and uk

it may help if you give him a whole answer
the pressure you have given you have to unplug the WUR to do that test
and take the pressure at give engine temp
the above is the cold control pressure test of cars in cold climates like canda
You also get a other test to do with altitude
You may see the say not for California cars

As we in the UK don't have that cold a climate or that high a altitude

We don't need to do that tests

for uk cars you test as i have said above

So nothing to do with emissions but all to do with the environment the car is in

    Kind of off topic, sorry.

Is the KR fuel pump enough to run a 4 bar pressured rail?

    Cheers
