I used to do the IT stuff for an expensive hotel near Central TV and lots of famous people (as opposed to 'celebrities' for five minutes) stayed there regularly. TV and music stars/politicians/sportsmen etc. What struck me was how 'ordinary' most of them were when they weren't on TV and were wearing ordinary clothes/no make up etc. And how small some of them were. Some were really nice, some real PITAs and some thought they were real gods, and treated our staff like slaves!
They were filming a news thing for UTV when we were walking towards our work car park on Friday.... the boom mic thing and all. They kept getting a "And here in the centre of Belfast, there is a definite feeling of "WA[/i]NKER!!!""..... Then we got some umbrellas from Richer Sounds, and kept walking past with them in the sunshine. They moved on in the end......
One of the regulars in my pub is a BSB rider, nice bloke but he drinks too much IMO. I used to know Ben Edwards a long time ago when he was actually a driver. and mates of mine off the course ride/drive in motorsport, one of my best mates knows Jenson Button and lots of other people in may class know other people.
