It's Lech Orski, famous polish rally driver. He drove mainly Golf's mk2 during his career. He destroyed almost 20 of them in rally and practice. In 1988 he drove Kenneth Eriksson's VW Golf GTI 16v car from 1987 WRC season.
Two years ago he took part in Barborka Legends Rally 2011 (this rally end's rallying season in Poland):
