Had this problem twice now and spent the morning checking it out with a hose and engine cuts out if I drown the ht cap can someone confirm it shouldn't do that?.
Sounds like dodgy leads or a crack in the cap. But even with good ones I'd expect it to cut out if you sprayed a hose over them!
Ok cheers changed the cap (good used spare) as all burnt and showing signs of tracking inside still cuts out but will now restart straight away.just ordered cap,arm and lead set (beru) all the stuff on there is cheap stuff I suppose you get what you pay for.
