Hi guys, can anyone tell me when a Timing belt should be changed on a Leon Cupra, I have one which I am selling to a dealer, and I think they may be trying to have me over by saying
it should have been done. (Unless someone wants to buy the car from me of course!)

    Any help greatly appreciated
    Cheers

5 years or 60k miles is now recommended for all 1.8T engines
water pump at the same time, as the come standard with a plastic impeller and they are prone to breaking. You can get replacements with a metal blade.
Your looking at around 300 all in a specialist for belt, tensioner and water pump.

Mine made it to 75k without snapping.
