Been dreaming about this myself as it's probably the closest thing to an 'affordable' supercar... Imagine it with DSG as well

Does seem to be a tight fit... Isn't the inlet manifold right up against the firewall?

If memory serves me right then Storm Developments built it, but not 100% sure

 

Might not be as been told the Storm built one might of been grey

 

Sounds great,looks to go well,ends up being alot of money tied up in a series 1 elise.Have been looking at elises recently,the older ones are down to sensible money but be honest i'm put off by the K series motor,all the engine conversions be it Honda or VAG 1.8T end up being the thick end of 10k which suddenly makes the car far from affordable (for me)
I'm 40 this year i can feel a mid life crisis looming

just a thort.. i do distinctly remember seeing somewhere on the net, theres a chinese or jap company that make a revised k-series cylinder head. they were made on request for any k-series engine. i found it when looking to drop a mini onto a multipoint injection 1.4 k-series metro subframe and engine a few years back..... havent heard anything since.... might make the elise worth doing tho

Wonder how weight of the engine and box will affect handling?

 

I've driven them roads in the first vid, they are fun, I was only in my work van tho, the roads with the high mud banks are like a single track road so you have to be a bit carefull round the corners cos of oncoming cars

 

emerald ecu? can that run all the R32 stuff properly? didn't phatty have to use a motek?

 

my mums car would smash that lotus!!!!!
