Top metal tunes for a half decent install?

    I'll get things going with:

Graveyard Disciples - (dunno the band now)
Last Carress / Green Hell - Metallica
    Enter Sandman - Metallica
Seasons In The Abyss - Slayer
    Blood Red - Slayer

    Metal, can't beat it!

    Metallica - Ain't my b*tch is a top tune
Killswitch Engage - My Last Serenade
The Misfits - Dust to Dust
Pantera - I'm Broken (cracking guitar riff)
Sevendust - Black (or anything off the first album)
    Scratching Post - Fade Away
Fear Factory - lots of good tunes, the start of hurt conveyor is a fave of mine
    Nine Inch Nails

    Could go on...

cemetary gates is a classic!! also superjoint ritual, phil anselmo's other band. fierce doesnt come close!!
"and justice for all" is the best metal album ever, and if you can handle long songs, then "slow deep and hard" type o negatives first album (before they went pooe goth) is also a belter. for fun driving, anything by the ramones goes down well.

don't quite get the nu metal stuff tho' seems a bit whiney.

Cheers guys, particularly for the specific tracks... Being quite big into my metal I've got plenty, was specifically asking for songs which sound really good to drive with with a sub (proper charging basslines like the ones I listed ;)).

I'm getting all the ones you listed anyway - Cemetary Gates sounds like what I'm after when it kicks in. :)

Actually, I strongly recommend the whole Killswitch Engage album. The track I gave earlier is one of the softer ones I guess but it shows the guys vocal capability. Try some other ones for the 'charging basslines' you want. But perhaps you know all this already!

    Sepultura - Chaos AD
Korn - Here to say (cool bass guitar)
    Limp Bizkit - Rollin
Linkin Park - A place for my head
    Bionyx - Slam (Biohazard-Onyx mix)
    Orgy - Opticon
Audioslave - Burning Gasoline (or) Cochise
Disturbed - Down with the sickness

That lot should do you for a little while. [:D]

Edit: Oh, and if you like it a bit heavier than Slayer, try Deicide, if you can find them. Personal recommendation.

Can't be bother to pick out individual tracks so I just say Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Oz, Diary of a Mad Man and Tribuite, featuring one of the best guitarists ever.

hatebreed "a call for blood" [:x]
stampin' ground "pain is weakness leaving the body" [:x]
iron maiden "number of the beast" [:D]
    metallica "dyers eve" [:x]
queens of the stone age "go with the flow" [:^(]
andrew wk "we want fun" :p
all out war "burning season" [:x]
    bouncing souls "kid" [:D]
    bad brains "the messengers" [:D]
d.r.i "suit and tie guy" [:D]

the first two are admittedly not one for a drive in the country with the g/f but the rest are pretty uptempo (bar q.o.s.a)

A bad mistake at mixing rock and hard core techno.

Hatebreed - plenty of bass, plenty of anger. Sweet. ;)
Iron Maiden - good song, I've got every album. It was even better when I saw them play it live. :p
Bouncing Souls - got a few of theirs not that one though will check it out.
Pennywise - again had some but not that. Looking now.
