I just noticed that my mileometer reading has stopped, its a digital one as it is in a 95 Golf GTI 8v. Am I looking at a new set of clocks or is it fixable?
Depends if it's the clocks not recording or the sender not sending! If you put it into test mode (Hold trip reset, switch ignition on/off/on) you can select a mode which shows the counts of the sender on the gearbox. I just can't remember which mode it is - maybe 6 from memory?
I've tried pressing the trip reset, but it makes noo difference, I would think it is the actual clock that doesn't work. The mileometer on the MFA works fine, its just the main one.
