hello there ive got a 96 golf gti 8v with a agg engine in it.when the cars stationary and i just blip the throttle a few times it missis and pops.but when i am driving (giving it some) and change gear fast it dogs down then picks up again could this all be related.any help would be greatfull
i had the same problems with mine. Hard to say what the problem was as i changed most of the 'known culprits' in one swoop. Plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor, crank sensor, knock sensor, fuel pump relay, ecu relay & fuel filter. Crank sensor wiring was completely shot, all 3 wires had the insulation broken and were touching each other, which probably didnt help!
