I had an intermittent problem with the brake light switch conected to the hydraulic lines of the master cylinder. I've swapped the switch for a new one (113 945 515H) and now it doesn't work at all. Anyone got any ideas or know if a switch can be fitted to the pedal and wired in easy?

I'm presuming you've checked the standard wiring is okay before you blame the pressure switch? You may just have another dodgy one.

You can fit a switch to the pedal like your vento has, but you may have to fabricate a bracket to hold it.

Wouldn't have thought that would be a prob for you tho looking at your car pics! ;)

Check that ur getting 12v to the sender. and check that the other cable is reaching eirth. Has the system been blead since changin the sender as there would be air in it now.

Theres a big thred about fitting a peddel switch on a mk1 already.
