Mk1 Golf vid - Drew's Mk1 compilation

Found this earlier - Drew put it together probably 2-3 years ago.

Based on footage from (I believe) GTI Magic, The Car's the Star, and another semi-promotional VW video done by Chris Goffey in the mid '90s. I never didn't find out where he got the footage of the racing Golf vs Datapost Escorts though!

Wasn't there a golf in the very early touring cars or was that a Mk2?

I'm sure i can remember seeing one in a vid on the Birmingham city circuit?

 

Mk1 & Mk2, both were in Tourers in the spec they were then built to.

Yes - that would be good. I'd got a low res Mk2 one which wasn't worth uploading, but there's loads of rally footage. Maybe try to MSN them this eve?
