Hi i have the offer of a mk1 jetta for nowt (neighbour lost license and its been sitting there for a while so he wants shut) and i am wondering if they are sort after in any way. any one reckon its worth having / restoring/ modifing Cheers Collie.

I inherited a Mk1 Jetta a few years back. It was a 1.5GLS in metallic blue with the 5 speed box and I loved the car to bits. Just wish I'd had the wedge at the time to drop a valver in it or something similar Was a 1 owner, FSH car with 70k miles when I got my hands on it. Sold it for 700 but wish I'd kept it now. If anyone in the NE sees it around JWN ***X please let me know.
