Ok on my mk1 gti it has a audi tilt & slide but the sunroof is bent so I need to take it out. Lokked in the haynes manual looks pretty simple problem is I'm unable to slide it under to get the headlining off to get to the screws. Also the sunroof is electric so as u can imagine unable to force it under.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Can you not undo the headlining where the electric motor is, take it out and attach a manual winder and force the sunroof back. This will then give you access to the retaining screws, allowing you to drag it forward and out.

If the sunroof is too badly bent to allow it to pass backwards then you may have to hack it to pieces so you can you get to the retaining screws to renew the sunroof.

    Good luck. :)
