No but there's not much you need to change. Look in the FAQ section for
details on how to fit a 6A.

Should be fine, You'll need to swap over all the ancillaries from the golf engine to the audi one, including sump and oil pump pickup. See the 6A FAQ in the FAQ section for a decent write-up.

The Audi engine code should be a 6A, so yes it should physically fit no problem... :)

You will need to swap a few bits from your existing engine as there are minor differences where the Audi lump sits longitudinally whereas the Golf engine is transverse...

Do a search for 6A into mk2 16v or check out GVK's 2L 16v thread. Lots of useful info! ;)

Presumably more torquey and tunable than a 1.8 but aren't thay only 137BHP out of the factory compared with 139BHP for the 1.8???

Correct..136BHP, but more torque courtesy of the extra 200cc!

Emissions laws meant that the car was fitted with a very mild inlet cam. Swapping to a KR 1800 item & RR tune/WUR mod @ somewhere like stealth racing should give 160BHP ;)

Standard 9A/6A inlet cam will only make decent power up to 5000rpm [:^(] Kr inlet cam - 6500rpm. [:D]
