I've to reassemble a mk3 bottom end / mk2 head combination over the weekend and I can't find my Haynes manual for all the torque settings. Has anyone got a list of them? The engine was literally stripped to the last nut and bolt.

    Tia.

Typical torque settings In Nm (lb ft) for EA827 petrol motor are:

Damper using 12 point bolt -90 (66) then a further 180 deg turn
    Mains - 65 (48)
    Big Ends - 30 (22) then a further 90 deg turn
    Cylinder head - 40 (30) followed by 60 (44), then a further 180 deg turn.

    Hope that helps you.

Remember always use new stretch bolts ( bolts torque`d + 90 / 180 degree ) as they are one time stretch only....
