I'm going to start this thread a little earlier so we can gauge interest.
Due to promising results shown from hybrid turbos and supporting mods, we're looking at the possibility of producing 3" downpipes with k04 (3 stud) fitment for MK2/3 Golf, Corrado fitment among many others.
If the sound of a 3" downpipe floats your boat, please stand up and be counted [:D]

If there's demand, we'll be working with both the K04 (3 bolt flange) and the K03 (4 bolt flange) using OEM manifold placement.

Just thinking are you going to make one that is 3inch off the turbo to 2.5inch to the exhaust?

    Sounds like a sensible plan.

Thanks for showing interest. We just need a few more people in and it will become a reality :)

People are still becoming aware of us, it just means it'll take a little longer :)

No news yet mate. How many people actually own and run K03/K04 style hybrid turbos?

I would love a 3" DP but I'm running a GT28RS off a 16v so... There's really no market and one off's are probably not worth your time?

Sounds like a nice setup but you're right, it's a custom job :(

Hey Matt, do you know what the benefits will be with a 3inch compared to the 2.5inch?

In theory you would see better spool and higher peak figures. It's a bit of a can of worms this one..

    No problem :)
Stepping up to 3" pipework would most likely see lower temps on boost and probably higher temps off boost, due to the loss of the scavenge effect. 3" pipework could be detrimental to the power delivery. If you lose you're bottom end power due to the lack of scavenge effect, your transition into boost will be more aggressive (not the best for a front wheel drive car)

If these are directed at a mk4 platform, there are more focused forums for a well deserved wider audience.
The americans have a great deal. Look at 42 draft designs. Excellent value downpipes, including magnaflow cats. Half the price of a miltek unit. Do an oe k03/s fitment 3" downpipe and sports cat to oe exhaust fitting, and youll be selling them like hot cakes.

Also look in to catch cans with 19mm inlets/outlets. The only can currently available comes from america at a ridiculous price

We really want to lay our roots in MK2 stuff first but we were heading toward the mk4 platform. We'll give this one a little longer but we may be heading that way sooner than we thought.
Love the catch can idea :)
