    Hi folks,

We have recently done a conversion on a VW Bay with a MK2 Golf GTI 8V Digifant (Not for the purists we know - sorry :o) .

The trouble is, we have got it all wired in etc but don't seem to be able to get the fuel pump relay to work - can anyone advise us how its wired up - we have heard rubjohnny is good at this sort of thing;)

We can get the engine to run if we power the fuel pump up directly from the battery but it seems to put too much pressure in then, but obviously that way it keeps trying to pump rather than just priming when the engine isn't running.

We have got the yellow and red wire from the ecu labelled as fuel pump relay trigger but can't seem to get anything from it? [:x] Trying to use a standard 4pin relay.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks people.

Also we have a wire labelled up Coil Negative one end and ecu relay the other - where should that go to or do we not need it - it run without it, and also one from the ecu that is labelled up as ?Starter Kill Switch - again no idea where it is supposed to go or whether we need it - red/green from ecu turning into red/brown.

If anyone is interested we can post pics!

the red/yel from ecu is an earth trigger so that needs to go to pin 85 of your relay, 86 ign live, 30 to live feed and 87 to pump.

red/green from ecu is starter cranking live so run that to the starter wire or ignition switch whatever is easier.

not sure what that other wire would be, coil -ve would be rev counter to fusebox or the feed from the tci unit to trigger the coil...

Thanks rubjonny - we heard you were the one to ask - your web pages with wiring diagrams on have helped us no end in this process - off now to have a play and do what you have posted above (fingers crossed) we will either be back with more questions or with big grins on our faces.
