Hi everyone I could really use some help if anyones got any ideas because I am out of them. I recently did a 2 litre swap on my 8v as well as doing a stage 3 head and 285 cam. Just as the swap was finished and the battery connected back up an earth was in the wrong place and inevitably burnt the ecu and hydro locked the engine. The earth was then corrected and a new ecu put in however now the opposite problem is occuring where the cylinders aren't getting fuel on ignition.

The pumps are working and there is fuel at the rail and the engine is getting spark but the cylinders are dry. The voltage at the rail plug is just a between 11V and 12V when cranking and the injectors have checked to be still working. What Is odd is that when the plug is disconnected the engine will fire and start then die but if you connect the plug quickly enough it will stay running and run fine at idle however once in gear the car will lose power and cut out and die and then not start again.

I have already swapped the dizzy for a new one, swapped the ecu a further time, checked all the relays and am now flat out of ideas. I am wondering if there is anything else that could have been damaged by the bad earth but all wiring looks good and as mentioned all pumps and injectors seem to work. Any suggestions helpful as dont want to be taking it to a specialist garage.

Any chance you mixed up your feed and return hoses?

Doubt it as pretty sure they only fit on one way due to their length but will double check.

black pipe is the feed and goes direct to the rail, and blue is the return which goes on the FPR :)
