Mk2 golf mfa display problem

    Hi I have a 1991 mk2 golf gti and I've been having display problems the LCD has been replaced twice and it's always the same fault half of the display is missing does anyone know what else I can look at to find out what's causing this I'm out of ideas

    when replacing the screen did you make sure its suitable for a CE2 MFA cluster? as CE1 and non-GTI screens are not quite the same. If so then I'd say the main circuit board is to blame

    Yes it is the right one is there a way to repair the board

    are they motormeter? possibly the MM lcd is different to the more common VDO type.
    I might be able to fix them up for you as I have some spare 8v boards if you want to send all the bits to me?

    It is all together at the moment so it will be easier to send pm me and we can sort it out
