Hi there I have a mk2 golf 1.6 driver with PAS but I have a small problem when I got the car the engine was out etc pas pipes snapped and the bracket for the pump broken. So I am going to do away with it and not have PAS. Here's where I'm confused I have got a crank pulley but it only lines up with altenator and not the water pump. Is there any way to sort this out I.e changing water pump or can I simple change water pump pulley.

Ps I never got aux belt or aux crank pulley with the car.

Problem is water pump stick out two far. I think i have it susses but not sure. Will the waterpump pulley off of a scirroco fit as these have a bit of a dish that brings the v slot closer to the pump.

yes you need to change the waterpump pulley for non-pas one, I'm 99.9% sure the mk1/rocco pulley is the same but i cant look it up right now
