Relay is after the fuse - change the ignition switch

It could be an immobiliser problem if all else seems fine. One day when driving along my old immobiliser decided that the keys were no longer in the ignition at position 2 (even though the engine was running!) and so after a few monutes re-enabled the immobiliser while I was driving, cutting the power to the fuel pump!

Ok, pull the relay and get out your multimeter/test light on the pins of the relay socket:
    1 - earth
    2 - live
    4 - ignition live

If they check out try bridging a piece of wire between pin 2 and pin 3, the fuel pump fuse should get 12v and the pump should start, if not there is a problem with the fusebox!

could be the earth to pin 1, did you check you get ign live to pin 4? Also are you sure its the right relay for your car, handily there are several depending on the year! Is it an 8v or 16v?

    Hi
How thick is the wire you are using to bridge ?
How thick are the pins of the relay ?
    Any pictures may help.
